Window Problems

Most people can describe what the window is doing but not which part has failed. Start here and work backwards to the cause.

How do I work out what is wrong with my window?

Start from the symptom, not the part. Note whether the problem is about movement, sealing, locking or breakage; whether it came on gradually or suddenly; and whether it affects the whole travel of the window or just one point. Those three observations place almost every Singapore window fault into the right category before anyone visits.

The three things we need

  1. One full-window photo taken from inside, showing the whole window and its surroundings.
  2. One close-up of the faulty part or the damage, sharp and well lit.
  3. A short video — only if the problem involves movement, sticking or noise. Ten seconds is enough.

Photos with the window both open and closed help. Please do not lean out of a window or climb to take a photo — send what you can safely reach.
