Case Studies
What was reported, what was actually wrong, what was done and what it cost — from real completed jobs, published only with the customer's permission.
The library is being built from live jobs, and is empty on purpose.
A case study here means a real completed job: the symptom the customer reported, what the fault turned out to be, the work carried out, the time it took, the price band and the result — with photographs taken on site. Every one is published only after the customer has separately agreed to it, and locations are given by town rather than by address.
We could fill this page today with stock photographs and plausible stories. We are not going to. The value of this library is that it is real, and that only works if it is real from the first entry. The target is at least two published cases per month once jobs are flowing.
What each case study will record
| Field | What goes in it |
|---|---|
| Title | The repair and the town, e.g. "Sliding window roller replacement in a Punggol HDB flat". |
| Location | Town only, unless the customer permits more detail. |
| Property and window | Flat type and window type, e.g. 4-room HDB, two-panel aluminium sliding. |
| Reported symptom | In the customer's own words. |
| Actual cause | What the contractor found — which is not always what was expected. |
| Work completed | The parts replaced and the adjustments made. |
| Time | A realistic range, not false precision. |
| Price | A band, with inclusions and exclusions stated. |
| Partner | The legal company name and the relevant approval where applicable. |
| Media | Before, part close-up, the repair and after. |
| Permission | Recorded consent for marketing use, given separately from the repair consent. |
How permission works
Agreeing to a repair is not agreeing to appear on this page. Consent for a case study is asked for separately, after the job is complete, and it can be declined without any effect on the work or the warranty. Photographs are cropped to the window, location is given by town, and no unit address or personal detail is published. Consent can be withdrawn later and the case study is removed.
In the meantime
Until the library fills up, the most useful evidence-based pages are the problem answers, which set out the likely causes ranked by what actually turns up in practice, and the price guide, which explains what drives the number rather than guessing at one.
Your job could be one of the first published cases — only if you want it to be.
