Terms of Use and Service

The short version is in section 2: we assess and assign, the contractor repairs and warrants. The rest sets that out properly.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by WindowRepair.sg, Singapore. By using this site or submitting an enquiry you accept these terms.

2. What this service is, and is not

WindowRepair.sg is an information and quotation platform. We assess enquiries, collect photographs, arrange quotations and connect customers with contractor partners. We do not carry out repair, installation or replacement work. That work is carried out by the contractor partner assigned to your job, who contracts with you directly.

WindowRepair.sg is not a BCA-approved window contractor and does not hold registration under workhead RW01. Where work requires an approved contractor, it is assigned to a partner holding the required registration and listing, and that partner's identity and registration details are provided to you before booking.

3. Information on this site

The guidance here is general information about common Singapore window faults, repairs and rules. It is not a technical diagnosis of your window and it is not legal advice. Official HDB, BCA and PDPC requirements change; we show review dates and link to sources so you can check the current position yourself, and you should do so before relying on anything here for a decision that matters.

4. Remote assessment

An assessment made from photographs narrows the likely fault category and helps route your enquiry. It is not a final technical diagnosis. The actual fault is confirmed by the assigned contractor, on site. For water leakage, intermittent faults and glass work, an inspection or site measure is normally required before any repair price can be given, and any inspection fee is quoted to you in advance.

5. Your enquiry

  • Give accurate information. A wrong property type, postal code or fault description leads to the wrong contractor and a wasted visit.
  • Send only media you are entitled to send, and that shows the window rather than other people or unrelated content.
  • Do not put yourself at risk to take a photograph. Never lean out of a window or climb to get one.
  • Consent to share your enquiry with the assigned contractor partner is required before we can act on it.
  • Submitting an enquiry does not create a booking or oblige either side to proceed.

6. Quotations, bookings and payment

Quotations are issued by the contractor partner, not by us. The contract for the repair is between you and that contractor. You pay the contractor directly; they invoice and collect. Every quotation issued through this service must state what is included, what is excluded, whether GST applies, and the warranty period. Additional work found on site must be quoted and agreed with you before it is carried out.

7. Warranty

The warranty on the work is given by the contractor partner and stated on the quotation and invoice. HDB's terms for approved window contractors listed with HDB state a minimum three-month warranty for replaced parts and a one-year warranty for total window replacement; we require partner terms meeting the current official requirement. If a warranty issue arises, tell us with your job number and we will take it up with the partner.

8. Complaints

Raise complaints with us, quoting the job number, at hello@windowrepair.sg. We log the complaint, take it up with the partner and track the outcome. Safety issues, damage, work carried out without a required approval, and misleading quotations are reviewed immediately and may result in a partner being suspended from receiving further work.

9. Safety

Nothing on this site should be used as a reason to delay dealing with an unsafe window. If a sash, panel or pane is at risk of falling, stop using the window, keep people clear, and contact your building management or the relevant authority. WindowRepair.sg is not an emergency service and does not attend site.

10. Our responsibility

We are responsible for the platform services we provide: assessing enquiries honestly, verifying partners before assignment, assigning your case to a suitable partner, providing partner identity and registration details before booking, holding partners to the quotation and warranty standards, and handling complaints. We are not responsible for the technical workmanship of the repair, which is the contractor's responsibility under their contract with you. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law.

11. Availability

We aim to keep the site available and the information current, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and coverage depends on partner capacity and service areas at the time of your enquiry.

12. Intellectual property

The content of this site, including the guides, tables and photographs, belongs to WindowRepair.sg or is used with permission. You may quote it with attribution and a link. You may not republish it wholesale or present it as your own.

13. Personal data

How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

15. Changes

We may update these terms. The review date below shows when they were last changed. The version in force for your job is the one published when you submitted the enquiry.
