Why the site exists

Window faults are unusually hard to search for. People cannot name the part that has failed, so they search for what they can see — "window cannot close", "sliding window stuck", "handle spins". The answers they find are often written for a different climate and a different kind of window, and rarely mention the Singapore rules that decide who is even allowed to do the work.

Meanwhile the trade is busy being the trade. Most repairmen have no time to write, track enquiries, follow up or measure anything. The gap in the middle is what this site is for: work out what is wrong before anyone travels, say plainly what it will cost, and then actually fix it.

How we are paid

Nothing, by you. Sending photos, the assessment and the quotation are all free, and you pay the contractor directly in cash when the work is done. We are paid a commission by the contractor on completed work — which is why we have no interest in sending you someone who will not finish the job properly, and why nobody can pay to jump the queue.

What we will not do

• Describe ourselves as a BCA-approved window contractor. We are not one and we do not hold the registration.
• Publish price ranges we have invented, or price data without saying what it is based on. The ranges on our price guide are labelled as market observations with their sources listed, not presented as our own job data.
• Publish case studies that are not real completed jobs with the customer's permission.
• Present stock photographs as our own completed work.
• Create dozens of near-identical town pages that differ only by the place name.
• Pass your details around a list of contractors so that five of them call you.
• Ask for your NRIC.

The photographs on this site are library images, labelled as such wherever they appear. They will be replaced by real job photographs as the case study library is built.

How the content is produced

Pages are drafted from customer questions, contractor input and official HDB, BCA and PDPC sources, then checked before publication. Every substantive page carries a visible review date and the sources it relies on. Where a claim comes from an official rule, we say which body says it. Where the data is someone else's rather than ours — the price ranges are market observations, not our completed-job figures — we label it that way rather than letting it read as first-party evidence.

Official rules change. If you find something on this site that is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will correct it and note the revision.
